A Wisconsin Senate committee voted, 4-1, to approve a bill encouraging the development, production and use of renewable fuels. The full Senate is expected to take up the bill in the next few weeks. "This bill offers a balanced and fiscally responsible plan that puts Wisconsin at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing industries in our country, an industry that reduces our dependence on foreign oil and creates good-paying jobs," said state Sen. Pat Kreitlow, the committee co-chairman.
