The staff of Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and Marie Duggan, a city resident whose son has autism, are teaming up to improve the lives of people with the disorder through a new iPhone application they are working to get developed. Duggan is proposing the application as a replacement for multiple devices her 19-year-old son uses to communicate with others, and she has enlisted the help of the mayor and his staff in making technology-industry contacts to help further her cause.
