A gifted-education advocacy group is trying to find out why students identified as gifted in Colorado's Eagle County are not making as much academic progress as their peers. "There are many possible reasons for this lack of growth in our gifted and talented students, including inaccurate identification, inconsistent gifted programming and inadequate gifted-education training for classroom teachers, counselors and principals," the group's president said. The district is looking at making improvements to gifted education.
