A compromise climate bill that seeks to gain Republican approval with provisions on expanded oil drilling and nuclear energy, as well as curb federal regulations on greenhouse gases, is expected in the Senate on Monday. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has indicated that he is prepared to address the bill in June, sources said. But if the measure can't muster enough support, the Senate leadership may take up another climate proposal during a lame duck session after the midterm elections.
