The Conference Board reports consumer confidence hit 57.9, up from 52.3 in March, marking its highest level since September 2008, when the index was at 61.4. Yet confidence in the tech sector isn't recovering as fast. The CEA-CNET Index of Consumer Technology Expectations dropped to 72.3 in April, a dip of more than 11 points from March and down more than five points from a year ago.
