The Department of Transportation has levied a $75,000 fine against Prestige Cruise Holdings, the parent company of Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises, for violating advertising rules. The DOT said Prestige did not disclose taxes and fees in its ads. "The 'free' air fares, as advertised, do not provide adequate notice that certain taxes and fees, which properly may be stated separately from the advertised fare, must be paid by the traveler in order to obtain the 'free' airfare, nor of the amount of such taxes and fees," the DOT said.
