Researchers at the Geneva Observatory have discovered planets that orbit at odd angles or revolve counter to the direction of their stars' rotations. These findings call into question the theory that planets are composed of dust cast off from a star's creation, and suggest that some of these planets could have migrated from other solar systems instead. "This is a real bomb we are dropping into the field of exoplanets," astronomer Amaury Triaud said.
