An alternative school in Kentucky's Fayette County is helping middle- and high-school students who are struggling in a traditional-school environment get back on track for academic success. Some students at The Learning Center have learning disabilities, and the school offers smaller class sizes and individualized attention to help students reach their goals. The school is serving 50 students in its first year; the district plans to double enrollment next year and eventually enroll 200 students.
