Spending on mobile coupons in the U.S. is projected to jump from $90 million last year to $6.53 billion in 2014, Borrell Associates is reporting. The local mobile coupon segment, which now makes up $4 of every $100 spent, by 2014 will tally $1 of every $6. The mobile segment is being helped by greater use of coupons in general and the rise in the number of phones with applications to support coupons, according to this article.
