Administrators in a Pennsylvania school district are considering moving a program for young adults with special needs to a district high school. Under the plan, the Community Connections Program for students ages 18 to 21 would move into the high school and out of a county facility that is slated to end the program. The change would mean the hiring of a life-skills teacher, two aides, and other startup costs but would still save the school district more than $100,000 in transportation and other expenses.
