Minority candidates are more likely than whites to be hired for a tenure-track job at a law school, but are less likely to teach at the most prestigious schools, according to a study. "While being a minority resulted in a positive bump in getting a tenure-track law teaching job, minority status also had a statistically significant negative effect on the prestige of the hiring law school," said the report by Ming Zhu, a litigation fellow for the Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights.
