More than 80% of mobile-application developers surveyed gave their support to Apple's iPhone software, saying they had either authored or had plans to write an app for that platform, according to an Ovum Research study. Next came Research in Motion's BlackBerry, with 74% support, followed by Windows Phone operating system at 66%. "Right now there's a cluster of developers who are concentrating on developing for the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android," said Ovum analyst Tony Cripps.
