The National Institutes of Health has awarded Banner Alzheimer's Institute in Phoenix a $6.5 million grant for the improvement and expansion of a research facility that will feature two PET machines, an MRI scanner and a laboratory for image assessment. The funding also will cover the acquisition of a device that will aid in the production of PET radiotracers for use by researchers in Arizona in the study of Alzheimer's disease.
