Netbook computers, which internally store applications and data, will remain more popular than tablet PCs like the iPad that tend to store more information with remote, cloud-computing technologies, according to Jerry Shen, the chief executive officer of Asustek. Even so, Asustek, which makes the popular Eee PC netbook, is scheduled to introduce its own tablet at an industry trade show in June.
