The upfront for the top four broadcast networks is likely to be up 8% to 10%, or even more for certain shows, and total about $9 billion. "There is no gloom and doom about broadcast television advertising this year," said one network sales executive. "The media-buying community is not talking about price decreases and tough times this year because they know such posturing is not going to help them."
