University of Virginia psychology professor Daniel Willingham argues in this blog post that multitasking by children is rarely a good idea. Willingham, the author of "Why Don't Students Like School?," is promoting his opinion on YouTube. He argues against the concept that today's students need to multitask to be engaged, citing data that suggest multitaskers do not perform as well as peers in cognitive tasks.
