New Jersey officials warn Jersey Shore motorists will be in for a lot of stop-and-crawl travel this year as several major road and bridge projects are in high gear. They are all part of a $1.1 billion plan to create a third lane for a 50-mile stretch between Toms River and Somers Point. "It might be a little ugly now, but when it's finished, drivers will really appreciate it," said Joe Orlando, spokesman for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.
