Broadcasters this week are meeting with Congress and the FCC to counter the "huge misinformation campaign" being promulgated by the cable industry over the impact of current retransmission rules on viewers, according to the NAB. "You could count on two hands how many times there's actually been a disruption in service where a TV signal has been pulled in the last 18 years," said NAB spokesman Dennis Wharton. "They don't like to admit it, but the marketplace is working just as Congress intended."
