California's Rowland High School held a prom Friday to celebrate the friendships made by nearly 60 students in the school's Best Buddies club, part of a national program that pairs students who have special needs with classmates who do not have disabilities. Educators say Best Buddies helps bridge the gap between students by helping them discover how much they have in common. "Society has separated them," one teacher said. "But if in high school they learn there is no difference, they will learn that as adults."
