Sudden frosts have had farmers in Ohio and Michigan scrambling to roll out propane-powered heaters and fans in a bid to save their grape, berry and asparagus crops. One Michigan farmer's fans raise temperatures by around 5 degrees and can burn up to 15 gallons of propane per hour. "I guess we made the folks at Great Lakes Propane very happy because we burned a lot of propane," said one Ohio grape grower.
