Generic-drug giant Teva Pharmaceutical Industries is the biggest drug company you've never heard of -- it's probably also the stingiest. Executives fly commercial and have "no-frills" corner offices overlooking parking lots -- but they spend heavily where it counts, building state-of-the-art distribution networks that enable them to process 60 billion no-name tablets a year. Annual revenue has grown tenfold in the past decade, to around $14 billion, and analysts say that if the company stays lean, it could keep growing for years to come.
