A proposal to go forward with the Detroit River International Crossing bridge project has passed the Michigan House but still needs approval from the state Senate. Spanning the Detroit River, the bridge would link the Motor City with Windsor, Ontario. "We hope the Michigan Senate follows suit to bring 10,000 construction jobs to Michigan and choices for motorists and businesses at the border," said Bill Shreck, director of communications for the Michigan Department of Transportation.
