Tony Stark, the fabulously wealthy hero of the "Iron Man" movie franchise, was inpsired in part by the real-life innovator Elon Musk, a South African immigrant whose work focuses on electric vehicles and privatized space flight. But tough immigration policies could keep future whiz-kids from coming to America, notes Jeremy Hsu. "A harsher immigration system might have discouraged a real-life Iron Man such as Musk from ever reaching U.S. shores in the first place," he adds.
