Simultaneous audits are gaining favor as a means for multinational companies to improve efficiency, save time and avoid being taxed by two different countries for the same revenue, experts say. There are drawbacks, such as the discovery of inconsistent tax practices among various corporate units, but companies willing to cooperate with the authorities are likely to find the process is accelerated, they say.
