Too many companies focus on social tools rather than social strategies, says Jay Baer. A real social strategy is less about specific platforms and more about defining the way your company talks with and listens to your customers, Baer says. "What you're doing on Twitter is not a social-media strategy -- it's a tools strategy," he adds. "The strategy should be what sort of relationship do you as a company want to have with your customers."
