Oregon City will likely get the second bottle-redemption center in the state this fall, following approval of the plan by the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. The center will allow users to receive credit on a plastic card after dropping off bottles and cans in a labeled bag.
The Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Southern California has partnered with California's state parks and Stater Bros. to raise money for dune restoration, cleanup and recycling for coastal parks. The bottler donated $1 to the effort when consumers purchased $10 of Coca-Cola products at Stater Bros. stores.
