Restaurants are finding the process of weaning customers away from recession-era meal deals may take longer than they'd like, The Wall Street Journal reports. Chains including California Pizza Kitchen and Sonic are reporting slowed sales as they move away from last year's deep-discount promotions, while others including Brinker-owned Chili's are trying to woo customers with new promotions that take less of a bite out of the bottom line, including a new line of $5.99 burgers.
