A growing number of religious groups are turning their attention to animals, taking positions on factory farming and working to find homes for stray cats and dogs, the Chicago Tribune reports. "I think they are all expressions of the divine," said ordained animal chaplain Kris Lecakes Haley. "We all have a divine spark within us. Because of that, there is an irrefutable connectedness of all life."
