Cisco Systems has introduced a system that draws on copper cable embedded in corporate LANs to improve on wireless connections inside buildings for considerably less money than coaxial or fiber-optic cables, the vendor and its partner, MobileAccess, said today. The MobileAccess VE system, which works alongside Cisco's Wi-Fi network, allows users to make voice and data calls from dual-mode handsets, the companies said.
