After dining in area school cafeterias, a group of Washington, D.C.'s most well-known chefs joined forces to become an integral part of first lady Michelle Obama's efforts to end childhood obesity and improve health. Each adopted a school in the district and launched nutrition classes, added gardens and increased education around healthy eating. Today, the group joins like-minded chefs from across the U.S. at the White House to kick off a national adopt-a-school program.
