Delaware officials must submit plans by Monday on how schools will spend a portion of the $119 million in federal Race to the Top money the state was awarded. Half of the money will go to school districts and charter schools, and half will pay for statewide education programs. Three statewide positions also will be created using the money, with those employees focused on teacher training, the use of student testing data and school improvement.
