The House of Representatives on Friday passed a bill that would delay a 21% Medicare reimbursement cut to physicians until the end of 2011. Reimbursement cuts were slated to take effect today, and though the Senate is in recess for a week, CMS told doctors groups it will hold claims for 10 days to allow for Senate passage of the measure. The $23 billion provision also would include increasing payment rates by 2.2% next month and an additional 1% in January.
