Lawmakers hammering out the final version of the regulatory-reform bill likely will keep some of the proposals for debt and credit cards, said Ajay Banga, the executive who soon will take the reins at MasterCard. Mr. Banga said measures that allow merchants to set limits for credit card purchases and extend discounts for various forms of payment were expected to be included in the legislation. "The aspect of discounting for different forms of payment, I suspect that it will still be there," Mr. Banga said.
