Officials in Maryland's Prince George's County have banned cell-phone use by students in schools, saying that too many students are using the devices to goof off during class or cheat. Students also will be banned from posting videos or photos taken on school property on the Web -- a measure to prevent fight videos and other images from appearing on YouTube or Facebook. Officials say the ban is aimed at improving student safety -- even as other districts nationwide relax rules on cell phones in school.
