Microsoft and Yahoo! have begun the process of switching Yahoo! search over to the Bing search engine, while Microsoft is also angling for a deal with AOL. With the Yahoo! deal in place, Bing is expected to claim almost 30% of all U.S. searches. Microsoft has also turned to creative marketing efforts such as donating $2,500 to the Gulf oil cleanup for each time Stephen Colbert said "Bing" on his Comedy Central show.
