The Ohio Air National Guard increased the buffer zone separating military and commercial aircraft after an incident with F-16 fighters April 8. According to a statement from the air guard's 180th Fighter Wing, the lead pilot "lost situational awareness during a maneuver and climbed above his ceiling." When the lead pilot and second pilot descended, the two fighter jets came close to a commercial flight carrying 58 passengers.
