It's taken three decades, but it seems that work on Peru's longest bridge -- about 2,369 feet -- may be complete by December. The $25.7 million bridge spans the Madre de Dios River in the Peruvian Amazon and is part of a $2.37 billion project to connect the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of South America with a single Interoceanic Highway.
