Eliminating Saturday mail delivery would mean shifting a significant piece of Amazon's business to competing delivery services, a company executive told Congress this week. The online retailer currently ships more than 2 million packages per week via the U.S. Postal Service. Executives from Hallmark Cards and Prime Therapeutics also opposed the proposal, while companies including Netflix tentatively supported the plan as a way to cut USPS costs.
