Rep. Nick Rahall, D-W.Va., is seeking ideas and input for a beefed-up proposal for transportation funding that he says would not only improve the rail and highway system but also lead to job creation. "Crafting a transportation bill sooner rather than later would yield three fairly immediate results: It would create jobs, save money and spur the economy," writes Rahall, vice chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
