A British study of 762 pregnant women with Type 1 diabetes found that daily vitamin C and E supplements did not reduce the risk of developing preeclampsia. However, researchers did find that women in the supplement group who had a low antioxidant status at the start of the study had a lower risk of preeclampsia and also of having a baby with low birth weight.
