AT&T added 209,000 U-verse TV customers in the second quarter, a 60% increase from the year before as the service reached 2.5 million customers, 75% of whom have bought the telecom's triple-play or quadruple-play packages. U-verse revenue topped $1 billion for the first time and more than doubled from last year's comparable quarter. Overall, AT&T predicted strong earnings growth going forward, saying that its wireless base expanded from a year ago to reach 90.1 million subscribers as it added a record 3.2 million iPhone activations in the quarter.
