Boeing Co. is calling some of its most revered engineers out of retirement in an effort to fix problems and plot a course for the future, The Wall Street Journal reports. Eight former executives, brought back to form a Senior Advisory Group, have been unsparing in their criticism of Boeing's outsourcing program and other recent initiatives, according to the paper. But Jim Albaugh, chief executive of Boeing's Commercial Airplanes, says that is the kind of input he was hoping for. "I was concerned we had retirees that were worried about the company, and I wanted to have them inside the tent," he says. "They've got some very strong views."
