The Board of Supervisors in San Mateo County, Calif., approved amendments to an ordinance that will allow residents in the county's unincorporated areas to raise chickens. Many of the county's incorporated cities already allow residents to raise chickens in their yards. The changes will allow for between six and 10 chickens, depending on the size of the property.
