Four cats at a shelter in Adams County, Colo., that were found to be exhibiting signs that progressed from a simple runny nose to sore mouths were euthanized after their conditions worsened. "There's a chance it could be a toxin, but it could be a virus," said a veterinarian, who advises pet owners to keep their cats indoors or seek veterinary help if any of the signs occur.
