E-mails that Wisconsin teachers send from their work accounts do not have to be released under public-records requests if teachers say the content is personal, according to a decision last week by the state's Supreme Court. The original lawsuit to release the e-mails was brought by a Vesper resident, who wanted to see if teachers in Wisconsin Rapids were goofing off during the day, and was supported by news media in the state.
