There is a high demand for seats in a new private elementary school for students in grades 1-4 who have dyslexia, school officials say. The Roberts Academy -- at Florida Southern College -- is to open in the fall as a transitional school where educators will use the multisensory Orton-Gillingham method to help students with dyslexia improve their reading skills before returning them to regular schools. The school will be one of the few transitional schools for students with dyslexia in the country.
