Propane customers in northern Medina County, Ohio, are mourning the death of Linden's Propane owner Philip Linden in a road accident this week. The 75-year-old propane distributor, who founded his company in 1964, was well-known for taking time to help his thousands of customers troubleshoot problems with their grills, heaters and appliances, and frequently assisted firefighters with training exercises. "In one exercise at the county airport, he donated several hundred gallons of propane," said a local fire chief. "He was a heck of a nice guy -- he would take the time to explain things, and he would promote safety."
