Pilots can prove their worth by showing the value of aviation to business executives, according to Paula Williams, a marketing consultant for the business and general aviation industry. Williams recommends pilots check fuel prices on the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association website, and purchase fuel when it's at a low price. "It would have been great to see the presidents of the auto companies pull out a nice graph showing the value of their flight departments," writes Williams.
