U.S. ethane-based petrochemical companies will continue to reap benefits from the decline in shale-gas prices, according to a report released by Alembic Global Advisors. Figures from the Energy Information Agency show that the U.S. has 1,744 trillion cubic feet of recoverable gas, and 550 trillion cubic feet of that is shale gas.
