Samsung said it expects to report a 14% increase in sales in the second quarter, which resulted in a record profit, but analysts say they believe handset sales were relatively weak because of the company's sluggish smartphone lineup. Samsung has recently introduced its line of Galaxy S smartphones across most carriers. On Wednesday, Sprint Nextel confirmed it will sell the Samsung Intercept, an Android 2.1-based QWERTY device that will ship July 11 with a $100 price tag, after rebate.
